The Seasonal Cycle
Upland runs on a 5-season annual cycle, each lasting approximately 6 weeks:

Each season brings a new Season Pass, new Gamified Earnings missions, new service structure drops, and themed events.
Season Pass ($6.99)
Every season offers a Season Pass for $6.99. You must burn (activate) it to receive benefits.
What you get:
- 4 unique collectible character versions (themed to the season)
- 6 weekly cosmetic drops (one per week)
- Wildcard Token for Gamified Earnings
- Boost to your Season Collector Score
- Eligibility for Fusion Pass (if you collect all 4 characters)
Snapshot: Every Tuesday at 7 AM PT, a snapshot checks who has burned their pass. Only burned pass holders receive that week's cosmetic.
One burn per season covers all subsequent drops — you don't need to burn again each week.
Wildcard Token
Included with every burned Season Pass. Automatically applies if you miss exactly one weekly Gamified Earnings mission during the season.
What it does: Gives you credit for one missed weekly mission, keeping your Completionist run alive.
What it doesn't do: It doesn't count toward the 5-mission minimum for 14.7% yield. It only protects your all-missions-complete streak for the 15.2% max.
One-time use. Miss two missions and the Wildcard can't save you.
The Wildcard is genuinely one of Upland's better design decisions. Real life happens — one bad week shouldn't wipe out an entire season of effort. This is listed as Positive Finding #15 in our audit.
Fusion Pass
Collect all 4 character versions from a Season Pass and you earn the Fusion Pass — a special collectible that boosts your Collector Score.
Requirements:
- All 4 characters in your account by the fusion deadline
- Hold them for at least 24 hours after the deadline
- Characters can be in your wallet OR burned — both count
Collector Score
The Collector Score tracks your collection of Block Explorers, Season Passes, City Passes, and Badges. Two leaderboards:
Seasonal Leaderboard — Resets each season. Tracks only items released during that season.
All-Time Leaderboard — Cumulative across all seasons. Rewards long-term collecting.
Score weights:
- Block Explorers: 30%
- Passes (Season & City): 20%
- Badges: 50%
Note: Burned items do NOT count toward Collector Score. Hold your valuable collectibles.
Seasonal Events
Each season typically includes:
- Ornament/Decor Challenge — Place ornaments on structures for leaderboard points
- Block Explorer Sales — Themed BEs for $20 (usually 300 qty + 20K UPX)
- City Evolutions — 2-4 city expansions per season
- Championship Racing — Full 5-week competitive racing season
- Holiday Events — Themed sales around holidays (Valentine's, St. Patrick's, etc.)
