Vol. 39 went on sale at 9 AM PT on April 8, 2026. Upland's editor's notes on the Blossom Season page — dated the same day — announced that the two Gamified Earnings missions tied to Resident Score and Influence Score are being auto-completed for any player who plants at least one plant, "to ensure players are not negatively impacted by system recalibration." The service structures you're buying this week feed scores that Upland has, by their own admission, paused using for accountability.
Last week's Vol. 38 $9.99 structure was the Soccer Field at 315 SU. This week's Vol. 39 $9.99 structure is the Basketball Court at 33 SU. That's a 9.5x drop in SU at the same price point, one week apart, both Essential category. At that same $9.99 tier our database shows 19 structures ranging from 3 SU (Dry Cleaner) to 468 SU (Track & Field Complex). No pricing framework has been published that explains the 156:1 ratio.
Resident Score and Influence Score were announced July 17, 2025 as the feature that would "shape the future of your neighborhood." Scoring went live November 6, 2025. In the 39 service structure volumes sold since the program began, no positive reward has been attached to high scores — only a maintenance mission that can cost you a yield tier if you fail to complete it. As of April 8, 2026 even that mechanic is paused until Genesis Season "once the updated systems are fully stabilized."
