The Cup Merch Kiosk is plainly a summer-2026 world-soccer-tournament tie-in built without licensing the name — color, not an accountability point. The story is the spread: Junior High delivers more than 14× the SU of the next structure down at less than 1.5× the price.
How the $9.99 Tier Compares
Junior High is now the strongest $9.99 of the post-reduction era. Since the April 22 footprint reduction reset the SU ceiling, the $9.99 slot has been a Public Service / Essential band that tops out well below the pre-reduction highs (Track & Field Complex at 468 SU, Soccer Field at 315). Against that post-reduction field, Junior High takes the top spot.

If you're spending $9.99 this week, Upland Junior High at 176 SU is a genuinely strong buy — the highest-SU $9.99 structure since the April reduction, at 17.62 SU per dollar. Spark Hours, SU, and category were all printed in the announcement, which is the transparency we ask for. Credit where it's due on both counts.
The catch is the tier itself: $9.99 has bought anywhere from 3 SU to 468 SU with no disclosed framework for why. Junior High's 176 SU is 58.7× the Vol. 41 Southside Boxing Gym's 3 SU — same price, both post-reduction. Until Upland publishes how it sets SU, the $9.99 slot stays a guessing game.
The bottom three are standard filler — Cup Merch (1 SU), UPhone (6 SU), and Beyond the Bath (34 SU) all land mid-to-low for their price points, with Beyond the Bath sitting below Vol. 45's ÜPKEA (62 SU at $6.99). It's the same shape we keep seeing: one headline structure carries the volume while the rest fill the ladder. Know which one you're actually buying for SU.
