Troves got their mechanic. That's a real disclosure. For the first time we know how the loop works: pet a stem-bearing plant, sometimes get a Trove, higher Wellbeing improves your odds and your rarity. Worth saying clearly — this is information players have been asking for since the Life launch on April 14. The gap that's still open is the launch date and the Trove contents themselves. Five Trove types were named three weeks ago. Today we still don't know what's inside any of them.

Uppie utility finally has a property hook — and it stacks caveats high. Level 3 or higher Uppies only, so Level 1s and 2s sit out. All eligible Uppies provide the same benefit, so personality traits still drive nothing. Uppies will not collect Troves for you, so you still need to log in to do the part that pays. And the entire feature is future-tense, with no published launch window. The promised "digital citizens with personalities" from June 2025 remain cosmetic at the trait layer.

Real Talk

The dependency stack is now three deep: Plant Care is live but produces no tangible reward. Troves are the reward layer for Plant Care, and they're not live. Uppie auto-petting is the reward layer for time-spent-on-Plant-Care, and it's also not live. If you're playing Plant Care today, you're maintaining Wellbeing for an output (Troves) that has a mechanic but no date and no contents — and a future automation (Uppie auto-pet) that won't collect that output even when both ship.

Real Talk

What's not in this dev update is also notable. No SPARKLET vote outcome — the vote closed yesterday at 9 AM PT, and the dev update went out the same day with no mention of the result. No new sales or store items. No Farming or Animals progress (both pending downstream of Troves). No Mayor System update (pending since June 2025). The update is one feature deep on Plant Care, half a feature deep on Uppies, and silent on every other open thread.
