City Openings (New Cities)
Rome, Italy — August 2025
Upland’s first Italian city and a major European expansion.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Opening Date | August 2025 |
| Properties | ~15,000 |
| Terminals | 10 × $1,536 = $15,360 potential |
| Collector’s Pass | $5 |
| Deluxe Bundle | $100 |
| Landmarks | Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and more |
Madrid, Spain — September 2025
Opened alongside Harvest Season. Mission system later required minting Madrid properties for yield.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Opening Date | September 2025 |
| Properties | ~15,000 |
| Terminals | 10 × $1,536 = $15,360 potential |
| Collector’s Pass | $5 |
| Deluxe Bundle | $99 |
| Notes | Gamified Earnings missions directed spending here |
Singapore — December 2025
First Southeast Asian city. Wonderland Season missions required Singapore minting.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Opening Date | December 2025 |
| Properties | ~12,000 |
| FSA Properties | 0% (no free-to-play properties) |
| Terminals | 10 × $1,536 = $15,360 potential |
| Collector’s Pass | $5 (500 qty) |
| Deluxe Bundle | $100 (300 qty) |
| Block Explorers | $20 (300 qty) |
| Notes | 0% FSA was controversial — no free entry point for new players |
Singapore launched with 0% FSA (Free-to-Start Area) properties — meaning there was no free entry point. Every property required UPX or USD. Combined with Wonderland missions that required minting in Singapore, this created a pay-to-participate situation for the season’s yield system.

Positive finding from the audit: City Evolutions are one of the things Upland does well. They’re a sustainable approach to growth — small, consistent expansions rather than massive launches. They keep existing cities active and give players reasons to revisit cities they already own property in.
Modular Structure Lines
Two regional modular apartment lines have emerged through City Evolutions:
Main Street Modular (North America):
- Pizzeria Edition (Stockton)
- Laundromat Edition (Las Vegas)
- Shoe Store Edition (Los Angeles)
- Fashion Boutique Edition (Dallas)
East Coast Modular (East Coast cities):
- Bakery Edition (Nashville)
- Intimate Apparel Boutique (Arlington)
- Barbershop Edition (Queens)
All modular structures are stackable and can be combined into larger multi-story builds. They’re region-locked to their respective areas.
FSA Inconsistency
Free-to-Start Area (FSA) percentages vary across city openings with no disclosed framework:
| City | FSA % |
|---|---|
| Singapore | 0% |
| Vancouver | 10% |
| Seattle | 15% |
This affects accessibility for new and free-to-play players. A city with 0% FSA means every property costs UPX or USD — no free entry.
Strategy for City Openings
If you want to maximize value:
- Register early for every bundle tier
- Collector’s Passes ($5) are the lowest-risk entry with collection property chances
- Deluxe Bundles get you exclusive structures unavailable elsewhere
- Terminals at $1,536 are only worth it if you believe travel fees will generate long-term ROI
If you’re budget-conscious:
- UPX bundles (15K–85K) give you property exposure without USD spend
- Wait for the public mint after pre-sale — prices may be lower
- Skip Block Explorers ($20) unless you’re chasing Collector Score
Watch for mission requirements:
- New city openings frequently coincide with Gamified Earnings missions requiring activity in that city
- If you plan to maintain your yield, budget for minting in new cities during their launch season
